Looking for a role where you're not just reacting to breakdowns but actively making things better — and getting paid properly for it?

What you’ll be doing

You’ll join a cross-functional engineering team supporting high-speed production lines in a 24/7 environment. It’s a hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance role where you’ll be trusted to diagnose, repair, and improve — and work closely with operations to drive efficiency.

  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects

  • Monitoring line performance and identifying root causes of issues

  • Working on electrical, mechanical, and process systems

  • Maintaining records via CMMS (Shire) and supporting with compliance and safety

What we’re looking for

You’re a qualified engineer (electrical or mechanical) who’s worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You know how to fault-find, fix, and suggest improvements — and you take pride in working safely, accurately, and with minimal supervision.

Required:

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering or maintenance role

  • Practical understanding of safety systems and production processes

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and mobile reporting systems

  • Strong communication, ownership and fault-finding skills

Desirable:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

  • Experience with boilers, compressed air, or HVAC systems

  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (Shire ideal but not essential)

Location & Hours

This is a full-time, permanent role based at a large-scale manufacturing site in Middlewich, Cheshire.
Shifts are 4 on, 4 off (rotating days and nights, 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am).
